A CAR crashed into a telegraph pole in Sandbanks early this morning before the driver fled the scene.
Police were called to the crash in Chaddesley Glen at 5.58am.
Officers attended and closed the road for safety reasons after the telegraph pole and fallen lines were left blocking the road.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the crash was being investigated and they are trying to locate the driver of the vehicle, which is believed to be an Audi.
No arrests have been made.
The spokesperson said BT engineers were called to deal with the fallen lines.
