RSPB Arne returns with Nature Tots pre-school group this autumn. Ellie Sunderland, RSPB Arne visitor experience manager, said: “Nature Tots is a monthly preschool group aimed at children aged between two and half and five years old. Join us as we head out to discover some of the amazing creatures that we are giving a home to on our nature reserve.

“The natural world is filled with all sorts of wonders just waiting to be discovered by your little ones. We could be searching for storybook characters in the woods, meeting some brilliant bugs, and getting a bit mucky. We’ll also play some games, do some crafting and learn something new, but most importantly - we’ll have lots of fun!

“The sessions are designed to be as hands-on and sensory as possible, encouraging child-led exploration and natural play, “ she explains.

“Activities will include minibeast hunting, worm charming, butterfly hunting and storytelling. The group runs on the first Tuesday of every month from 10.30am – 11.30am and includes a cuppa and juice in the café afterwards!

“Each session will focus on a different theme including activities, a story, and a craft to take home. We’ll be going outside in all weathers, so don’t forget your wellies/sunhat depending on the forecast.”

The cost is £5 per child (non-member) and £4 per child (member)

(Price includes a free tea or filter coffee for adults, and a juice for children, at the RSPB Arne Café).
