A dispersal zone has been issued in Sidcup just for Halloween.
Inspector Hebdon, the SNT inspector for Bexley Safer Neighbourhoods has authorised our dispersal zone.
From 4pm today (October 31) until 4am on November 1 there will be a dispersal zone in effect within the Oval and surrounding area.
The map shows the area within the enforcement.
Under Section 35 of the act Constables in Uniform and PCSOs who have reasonable grounds to suspect that the behaviour of the person in the locality has contributed to or is likely to contribute to any member of the public to be harassed, alarmed or distressed or where crime or disorder occurs can be ordered to leave the area up to a period of 48 hours.
If the person is under the age of 16 they can be removed to a place of safety or to their home address.
Any person who is ordered to disperse and fails to leave the area or comes back to the area within the specified time is liable to arrest and prosecution.
