A COMEDY farce will be on stage at a Denbigh venue later this month.

The Phoenix Players will be presenting Beware of the Agapanthus, a comedy farce by Robert Brown, at Theatr Twm o'r Nant between November 14 and 16.

The credit crunch has not been kind to ex-investment banker James, who has not only lost his job, but also his investments, along with his gold digger wife Geraldine.

His father has died and left the family home in the countryside to him and his sister Peggy.

James moves into the house to make a new life for himself and decides to hold a barbecue to get to know his neighbours.

This rapidly descends into hilarious chaos with a series of unexpected arrivals and equally unexpected revelations.

Doors open at 7pm on each of the three nights, with the comedy getting underway at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £8, with concessions at £7, and they are available from Denbigh Library, or by e-mailing info@phoenixplayers.org

This amateur production is presented by special arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts.
