RISING star Jamie Bacon co-writes and stars in an award-winning feature debut Into The Mirror which will be screened at his home town theatre, Lighthouse Poole, on November 23.

Jamie’s family moved to Dorset when he was 16 and he studied at Jellicoe Theatre in Poole. He loves surfing and says that when he’s not acting he is in the water. He said he was “thrilled” his film will play at his local cinema.

The young actor recently appeared in Rocketman and has two major projects set for release in 2020, Netflix drama White Lines starring alongside Daniel Mays and Phil Davies and a new British feature film Brighton directed by Stephen Cookson, written by Steven Berkoff.

Other roles of note include Emmerdale and Pitching In.

Into The Mirror is described as an “original, exciting and powerful drama” by first time director Lois Stevenson with Richard E.Grant as associate producer.

A spokesman said: “It takes the audience on a breathtaking journey of a young man’s fight to find his identity and way in the world . This fresh take on discovering who you really are, has been wowing audiences on its US release, at festivals across Europe and has won awards including Best Film at The Netherlands’ New Vision Film Festival and Best Actor for Jamie Bacon at the New Renaissance Film Festival, Amsterdam.”

The film is now set to premiere in cinemas across the UK on November 23 and features an original soundtrack from lauded musician, producer and visual artist Johnny Jewel (Drive, Twin Peaks: The Return).
