MOST of the 140 lambs that were reported missing from farmland in Monmouthshire on Monday evening have been found near the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
Gwent Police's Rural Crime Team reported, on Wednesday afternoon, that 90 of the lambs had been recovered.
As reported by the Argus on Wednesday morning, the lambs were originally reported as missing, or possibly stolen, from Rogiet Moors, near Caldicot.
Police now believe the remaining 50 lambs have not been stolen.
The young sheep – Texel rams – each have a faded green dot on their rears, and have ear tag numbers 723298.
