THE popular annual Chepstow Show - scheduled for Saturday August 8 - has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Chepstow Agricultural Society's committee has agreed "with great sadness" to call off this year's event, at Chepstow Racecourse, but plans to be back next year.
"The Society would like to thank everyone for their support of the show as volunteers, traders, sponsors, exhibitors, members and visitors," reads a committee statement.
"We have contacted those who have already booked trade space at the show."
Plans are already in motion however, for a comeback next year, with Saturday August 14 2021 the planned date.
"We will also continue to run our farm classes and support the farming community in this difficult time," concludes the statement.
