LAST week's nostalgia featured a souvenir programme for the unveiling of portraits of of Mr C and Mrs C Lawrence at Pontymoel School.
The only issue was, Torfaen Museum had no records of who Mr and Mrs Lawrence were.
However, this week, one reader, Darren Davies, got in touch to shed some light on the situation, saying that Mr Lawrence was headmaster of the original school in the 19th century.

"He was born c.1838 in King Somborne, Hampshire, and died December 10, 1895," he said.
"I believe he’s buried at St Mary’s Church in Panteg.
"He was married to Ellen Jane and she was born in Cambridge.
"They are on the census at Pontymoel in 1871 – 1891 and he was still headmaster when he died."
Nostalgia is provided by Torfaen Museum.
