DURING the lockdown, Torfaen Museum asked for people to write down about their school days and experiences in Torfaen, for the museum’s archive and library.

The museum have had a great response, and over the next few weeks the Free Press will be showing some of the many responses in the Nostalgia column.

If you are inspired by these memories – why not write your own – the museum is still collecting!

Send them to the museum via email TorfaenMuseum@outlook.com or pop them in an envelope and take in to Reception. Mark them for the attention of the museum’s volunteer librarian Mrs Williams.

This picture is of the entire school during 1982 the last year of Twmpath School, Pontypool. The picture was donated to the museum’s library and archive by Claire Jones.

Are you in this photograph? Why not write your memories of Twmpath School and send them to the museum for storing in their archives for future generations?

Nostalgia is provided by Torfaen Museum.
