THREE people have been charged after police raided two houses.

A warrant executed by officers from a Cumbria Police drugs unit resulted in three being charged and appearing at court.

Officers attended Steamer Street in Barrow on Tuesday, forcing entry at two properties and making four arrests.

Michael Claughton, 37 of Steamer Street, Helen Ungor, 54, of Steamer Street, and Reece Roach, 21, of Window Lane, Liverpool have all been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

They appeared at Barrow Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 11.

The fourth arrest was a 15-year-old from the Liverpool area who has been released on bail.

A spokesman said: "The South Area Drugs Unit would like to encourage anyone with knowledge or information regarding drugs supply in their community to get in touch, either to Cumbria Police directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers."
