NORTH Wales Fire and Rescue Service says it has endured 'one of its busiest periods on record' over the weekend.
NWFRS says it received 33 calls to incidents of controlled burning throughout the region over the weekend.
It is now reminding residents that - although the hot weather may be over for the time being - there are still dangers to be considered.

A statement from the fire service read: "Over the weekend we were called to 33 incidents of controlled burning – even though rain is forecast ground conditions will remain susceptible to burning for some time as it has been so dry for so long.
"Our control operators have reported one of the busiest periods on record dealing with calls to these incidents which can tie up our crews for long periods.
"Here our Head of Fire Safety, Dave Hughes, reminds everyone to avoid burning and refrain from lighting campfires due to the potential impact on our resources."
Area manager and head of fire safety Dave Hughes added: "My appeal to you is to help and not to have controlled burning during this period of exceptionally dry weather. Please enjoy the weather, but stay safe."
