Author Louise Berridge was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd last weekend as she launched her new novel, In the Name of the King at Abergavenny Library.
Ms Berridge took part in a question and answer session with community librarian Vivienne Thomas and later signed copies of her books.
She had been filmed earlier on the premises by Sky TV's The Moore Show.
In the Name of the King is the second in the Chevalier series of historical novels by Louise Berridge, tracking the adventures of Andre de Roland through the tumultuous history of seventeenth-century France. Set against the brutal backdrop of The Thirty Years War, it follows the bestselling debut Honour and the Sword, published in April 2010, and has been described as "Bernard Cornwell meets The Three Musketeers".
