A Gwent legal professional is celebrating after completing a key stage towards qualifying as a solicitor.

Emma-Jayne Morgan. of Rubin Lewis O’Brien, based in Cwmbran town centre, has recently completed her CILEx Level 3 qualification.

CILEx is the professional body for Chartered Legal Executives, Practitioners, Paralegals and apprentices and the framework is the recognised route to becoming a qualified solicitor.

Emma joined the firm two years ago and is currently a paralegal while studying and taking her exams towards becoming a qualified solicitor.

Emma said: “This has been four years in the making and I am incredibly proud of getting to this stage. It has been a real challenge to undertake these qualifications alongside my full-time role at the firm, as well as bringing up my daughter.

“The next step for me is to complete my Level 6, which is degree level. My goal is to be fully qualified within 12 months an then I will need to complete a further year of qualifying employment in order to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

“The team at Rubin Lewis O’Brien have been extremely supportive and I look forward to continuing my career with the firm for many years to come.
