A Monmouthshire-based vehicle recovery, maintenance and recovery truck distribution business has a appointed a group national sales manager to grow its UK-wide offering in the transport industry.

Lyndon Welsher, 44, originally from Newport, now Magor-based, has taken on the role at Caldicot Group after 17 years in the motor trade industry, most recently for Volkswagen Group.

His new role will entail selling and growing Poland's Tevor Recovery Trucks into the UK market – the Caldicot Group is the UK's only approved distributor of the European recovery brand.

Lyndon will also be procuring new business opportunities for the Caldicot Group by securing additional recovery and maintenance contracts and will be managing and attending marketing and sales events such as the annual industry Recovery Tow Show.

Lyndon said: “I am excited about my position with The Caldicot Group and my plan is to grow the group’s market share within the recovery truck sales sector and to ultimately become one of the UK's preferred suppliers for the purchasing of recovery systems.

"I would also like to bring on board new partnerships to an already extensive customer portfolio by maintaining and forging new client relationships, within the recovery and maintenance sector of the business.”
