Chepstow progressed to the next qualifying round of the Welsh Cup with a well earned 3-1 victory at fellow division 3 side, Newcastle Emlyn.
The Town took some time to settle down after their 3 hour journey and had the misfortune to lose fullback Mo Chambers within a quarter of an hour due to a knee injury.
They then found themselves a goal behind after 20 minutes when they failed to clear the ball safely away. minutes. This stirred Chepstow into action and within 5 minutes midfielder Dan Morgan headed the equaliser.
The game was then evenly balanced until Richard Sharratt gave Town a half time lead with another headed goal.
In the second half Chepstow were by far the better side and only a fine save by the Newcastle Emlyn keeper kept the home side in the game.
Striker Jason Thorn had to leave the field due to a leg injury and he was replaced by Alex Watkins.
Following some good work down the right hand side Dan Morgan was again on hand to put the game beyond doubt by scoring the third goal following a cross from Alex Watkins.
