BARGOED stalwart David Lynch has resigned as head coach at the Principality Premiership strugglers.
Lynch has left the Bulls after 17 years at the helm along with his assistant Gareth Gunter, who has been at Bargoed Park for the last nine years, three as a player and six as coach.
The duo helped Bargoed win the Championship title in 2014/15 – losing just one of 26 games – and steered the club to the Premiership the following season.
However, the Bulls are staring at relegation from the revamped top flight with just Neath beneath them in the table and a 16-point gap to safety and just 10 fixtures left.
"Bargoed RFC send their best wishes to both who have been fine ambassadors for the club during their time in charge," read a club statement.
