FRIENDS of Newport Rugby have given another financial boost to the Black and Ambers – taking their total contribution to £50,000.
The Trust was set up at the start of the regional rugby era to provide support to the club, both through volunteering and by raising money through membership fees, matchday raffles, the monthly draw and a weekly lottery..
On Saturday FoNR treasurer Simon Man presented Newport chairman Will Godfrey with a cheque for £22,160, adding to the £25,000 that was handed over before Christmas.
The money has been raised thanks to the Trust’s loyal band of volunteers, backed up by supporters and the Black and Amber’s sponsors.
