THE Dragons' new kits will be unveiled when they entertain Munster A at Rodney Parade in the Celtic Cup at the end of the month.

The region will welcome the Irish province to Newport on Friday, August 30 (kick-off 7pm) after opening their campaign against Connacht in Galway on Friday, August 23 (kick-off 2pm).

The team, named Dragons XV in the competition, will also play at Rodney Parade against the Scarlets on Saturday, September 14 (kick-off 1pm) as part of a double-header with Dean Ryan's seniors taking on their western rivals (kick-off 4pm) to warm up for the Guinness PRO14.

They have two more home Celtic Cup encounters, against Ulster and the Ospreys, and plan on taking those fixtures to grounds in the region.

The Dragons, who swapped kit manufacturers Gilbert for VX3 last year, will have three new strips for the coming campaign with a black jersey, a blue change and a new limited-edition orange outfit.

They will wear last season's kit in the Sportsground opener against Connacht and then have a special fan event ahead of the Munster fixture with community activities and player appearances.

Only the Bisley Stand will be open for the Celtic Cup action and seating will be unreserved. Access to the stadium will be from gates four, by the ticket office, and six, by Rodney's Bar.

Former England number eight Luke Narraway was announced as head coach of the Dragons XV last month and his teams will be a combination of experienced players trying to force their way into Ryan's team and those that have come through the academy.

Season ticket holders get into the Munster game free but must present their card on the night. There is also no charge for under-16s while adult tickets cost £5.
