SHAUNA Pentney struck five goals to steer Tunnel Ladies to victory at Rogiet, writes Bob Cypher.
Player-manager Nat Rostron paid tribute to her players for the way they toiled on the heavy pitch.
“The girls did great to play the ball around and play football,” she said.
“There was some excellent passing and movement on show.
“Shauna ran the show in the middle with some excellent movement around her by Naomi Lengyel.
“Taran Fitzgerald worked tirelessly up front, tracking back to win the ball for us and pressing high.
“She battled hard and played some great football and it was recognised by all of the Tunnel players by unanimously voting her our player of the match.”
Sarah Bailey scored Tunnel’s other goal.
