STRONG-RUNNING Dan Hill will continue to lead the charge for Ebbw Vale in the Premiership next season.

The back row forward topped the league carrying charts in 2019/20 and also featured in the top six of the tackling tally.

Hill, who joined from Clifton last summer, will return for a second season with the Steelmen along with the Young brothers, sons of former Wales prop and ex-Wales boss Dai.

Lewis brought up a half-century of games for Ebbw last season and his younger brother Owen will look to bounce back from a knee injury suffered against Cardiff in the autumn.

Dawid Rubasniak will battle for starts at both 6 and 7 after a strong campaign that earned an international debut with Poland while Harry Harding will aim to push on after getting a taste of life in the Premiership after his move from Pill Harriers.

Corey Talbot made a big impact in December when he arrived at Eugene Cross Park from Old Redcliffians in Bristol.

The imposing lock helped the Steelmen to enjoy a strong 2020 that had put them within touching distance of securing their Premiership status before coronavirus led to the season being cancelled.

Talbot will return for the new campaign and will be a key figure following the departure of captain and lock Ashley Sweet.

The Steelmen have already confirmed that props Ross Jones, Luke Garrett, Joel Harries, Rob Sevenoaks, Dave Whiting and Ellis Evans plus hookers Joe Franchi and Mikhail Blake are staying for next season while head coach Greg Woods will add to his squad.
