WALES internationals Elliot Dee and Aaron Wainwright return to the Dragons XV for their derby against the Scarlets as boss Dean Ryan rings the changes.

There are just five survivors from the starting line-up from the 20-20 draw against the Ospreys last weekend – two-try scoring wing Ashton Hewitt, centre Nick Tompkins, fly-half Sam Davies, lock Matthew Screech and flanker Taine Basham.

Director of rugby Ryan has stayed true to his pledge of giving chances to his squad ahead of the European Challenge Cup quarter-final against Bristol rather than going fully-loaded against a Scarlets side with a slim chance of making the Guinness PRO14 semi-finals.

Captain Rhodri Williams returns at scrum-half while centre Adam Warren swaps places with Jack Dixon after coming off the bench last week and Will Talbot-Davies and Jared Rosser come into the back three.

Hooker Dee and lock Screech shoulder plenty of responsibility in the tight five where they are joined by the inexperienced Josh Reynolds, Chris Coleman and Max Williams.

Harri Keddie comes in for Wales number eight Ross Moriarty, who sits out the fixture along with veteran front-rowers Brok Harris and Richard Hibbard.

There is one new face among the replacements with back rower Huw Taylor getting an outing.

The Scarlets have made six changes to the team that thumped Cardiff Blues in Llanelli.

Former Dragons fly-half Angus O’Brien starts at full-back but centre Tyler Morgan, who moved west from Rodney Parade this summer, does not feature because of a hip injury.
