WALES Women's key UEFA Women's EURO 2022 qualifier against Norway has been moved from Rodney Parade.
Jayne Ludlow's team were meant to host the Group C leaders, who edged them out 1-0 in Oslo las month, in Newport on Tuesday, October 27.
However, that fixture clashes with Newport County's League Two encounter with Colchester United, forcing Wales to shift the behind-closed-doors game to Cardiff City Stadium.
"Jayne Ludlow's side will be returning to the stadium for the first time since a 1-0 win against Kazakhstan in a FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying round match in 2017," read a statement.
"The reason for the move is due to a Newport County fixture clash which the EFL club were unable to resolve."
Wales will still be heading for Rodney Parade for the qualifier against the Faroe Islands on Thursday, October 22 (kick-off 4.30pm).
Ludlow has named a squad of 26 players for the double-header with goalkeeper Olivia Clark and 18-year-old Brighton forward Josie Longhurst coming into the group after missing out against Norway last time out.
Megan Wynne is unavailable while recovering from an ACL injury while centurion Loren Dykes is unavailable for personal reasons.
Ludlow is able to select a squad featuring the experience of Sophie Ingle, who hit three figures for appearances in Oslo, Wales' most-capped player Jess Fishlock (117 caps), Helen Ward (91), Angharad James (80) and Hayley Ladd (60).
They will help in the development of seven uncapped players - Clark, Longhurst, Georgia Walters, Chloe Williams, Beth McGowan, Poppy Soper and Lily Woodham.
"These are two very different opponents and we have prepped two completely different gameplans, which I am sure the girls will cope fine with," Ludlow said.
"They are two games I believe we can get decent results in."
The nine group winners and the three best runners-up directly for the final tournament, while the remaining six runners-up advance to the play-offs.
Wales are currently second, two points ahead of Belarus who have a game in hand and three ahead of Northern Ireland.
