NEWPORT County AFC captain Joss Labadie has vowed that he will be fit for the League Two semi-final against Forest Green Rovers.
The Exiles skipper was hospitalised after a gruesome injury in the draw at Southend that earned a top-seven finish.
Midfielder Labadie was caught around the left knee by a stud and hobbled off with his knee heavily strapped.
County manager Michael Flynn revealed after the game that the medics had been unable to stop the bleeding and that his skipper’s presence in the play-offs depended on the depth of the wound.
However, the 30-year-old posted on Twitter that he would be ready to face Forest Green at Rodney Parade in the first leg on Tuesday, May 18 (kick-off 8.15pm).
Thank you for all the messages. All good over here. See you on the 18th 😁🧡⚽️ pic.twitter.com/ZDa1j0CJW0
