Cardiff Spring Foraging Courses
This Spring foraging course will be focusing more on the plants as there isn’t normally many edible mushrooms at this time of year. Never the less we have never yet been there and not found at least a couple of edible species!
We will meet at the Castle Street entrance to the park outside the Pettigrew Tearooms at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
We’ll then set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the park and along the beautiful riverside, stopping for some of our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup somewhere along the way. We will end the day with a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found.
We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt. There are limited spaces available so please book your tickets online.
