How long have you been a chef, and where did you train?
Allan: Have been a chef for 28 years and studied at Ebbw Vale catering college, I also trained for two years at Gwernvale Manor, Crickhowel.
Sasha: I have been a chef for six years. I studied in catering college and from there took my first job as a sous chef in an Italian resturant.
Why did you decide to follow this career path?
Allan: Because of my love and passion for cooking.
Sasha: have always had a passion for food since I was a young boy.
What is the ethos behind the dishes you create?
Allan: Fresh, local, quality ingredients.
Sasha: To allow customers to share the pleasures and experiences when eating the food I have created.
Who is your foodie hero?
Allan: Has to be Rymond Blanc
Sasha: If a foodie hero is a celeb chef then it has to be Gordan Ramsey, he has a lot of heart and passion for food, he also likes perfection.
What do you think of the way food, restaurants and chefs have become sexy in recent years?
Allan: I think its good, positive and informative towards peoples understanding of food and knowledge
Sasha: It is good media coverage have made people aware that food is not just fuel for the body but also a work of art which shows chefs off in a different light.
You’ve got the night off to spend a quiet night at home, and you want something to eat. What would you have?
Allan: Whatever is in the fridge, I will make a meal out of anything.
Sasha: I would always go for something simple with a creamy flavour, mainly pasta dishes.
