Bristol Hippodrome’s pantomime Cinderella starring singer and actress Suzanne Shaw in the title role launches today. Suzanne will join TV personality Louie Spence as Dandini and comedian Andy Ford as Buttons along with David Roper as Baron Hardup and Liz Robertson as Fairy Godmother.

Suzanne had one of the fastest selling singles of all time as a member of the pop group Hear’say. She has starred in West End musicals including Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Rocky Horror Show. Suzanne played Eve Jensen in the hit soap Emmerdale and won the third series of ITV show Dancing on Ice.

Louie Spence (ITV’s Dancing on Ice, Sky TV’s Pineapple Dance Studio and Louie Spence’s Showbusiness) wowed audiences at Milton Keynes Theatre last year by performing the role of Dandini in the pantomime Cinderella, breaking box office records and receiving outstanding reviews. West Country comedian Andy Ford needs no introduction to Bristol audiences as he returns to his home from home for his fifth Christmas season.

Along with the dance a minute Dandini and our unsung hero Buttons, Cinderella features a glittering combination of everything a traditional pantomime could wish for, a handsome Prince, enchanting Fairy Godmother and the boo-able Ugly Sisters. With a sprinkling of magic from the Fairy Godmother, will Cinderella beat the clock and find the happy ending she deserves? You’ll have to wait until the clock strikes midnight to find out!
