A MAN wrongly jailed for the killing of a reveller dressed as a Ghostbuster is suing Gwent Police.
Aaron Davies spent a year in custody for the manslaughter of 26-year-old Gareth Davies on a fundraising night out in Cwmbran in 2007.
Judges in the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction in 2011.
The Cwmbran man lodged a claim against the Chief Constable of Gwent Police last month, the Royal Courts of Justice confirmed today.
Gwent Police said they were aware of the claim.
A spokesman told the Argus: “We can confirm we have received a claim and legal proceedings are progressing.
"We deny any liability and will defend our position at any future hearing .”
