A PONTYPOOL teenager is in the running to win a trip of a lifetime after being selected for an international beauty pageant.
Ffion Ami Smith, 18, could be travelling to Disneyland Paris this summer after being selected to compete for a place in Face of the Globe.
Ffion, from Griffithstown, who studies at Croesyceiliog Comprehensive School, has been chosen by the Face of the Globe organisation to compete in regional heats being held at Novotel, Cardiff on Sunday July 13.
The contest is in aid of Rainbow Child Foundation, for which Ffion has organised a charity table top sale on Sunday July 6 from 12 – 4pm at Panteg Public Hall, New Inn, Pontypool.
If Ffion is selected as one of the five representatives from her group, she will be invited to Disneyland Paris in October to compete against girls from all over the world.
The teen has previously won Miss Elegance and came runner-up in Miss Torfaen 2013 and was a finalist in Miss Wales 2013.
She is described by friends and family as a ‘very bubbly, thoughtful and ambitious girl.”
