REAL ales, ciders and plenty of live music will liven up The Unicorn pub in Pontypool next weekend.

The watering hole in Albion Road is inviting beer fans to join them for a “cracking weekend" of live music all backed up with an array of quality ales and ciders from local brewers.

The beer and music festival will feature Rob Lear who had links with Van Morrison and Swindon-based Hip Route, both touring to support new albums.

Other acts will include Aled Clifford and up-and-comers Ellie Makes Music, blues rock quartet The Bakestones and Joe Kelly among others.

The festival will start at 6pm on Friday [August 15] and wrap up on Sunday evening.
