CHARITY Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for more than 20 burglaries that have taken place in the Osbaston area of Monmouthshire over a period of nine months.

The burglaries have been ongoing in the area since the beginning of June 2014, with one of them seeing a man allegedly assaulted.

He was attacked after a man who got out of a parked car, described as a black Lexus/Saloon, and was joined by a number of other men. He was struck in the arm with a baseball bat, but did not suffer serious injuries.

The charity Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for these burglaries.

The chairman for Crimestoppers’ committee in Wales, Stuart Taylor, said: “For this gang of individuals to have committed so many offences over such a long period of time is unacceptable.

“People should be allowed to feel that they and their belongings are safe within their homes, and this is why Crimestoppers is offering this reward and appealing for the public’s help in catching those responsible. Tell us what you know anonymously, we don’t want to know who you are.”

If you have any information on these crimes then contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org Please note that the full reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers and information passed directly to police will not qualify for the full amount.
