BUSINESSES have just a week to enter this year’s “bigger and better” Monmouthshire Business Awards.

The awards have been expanded this year to include parts of old Monmouthshire – towns and cities that were part of the county prior to 1965 – and the deadline for entries is on Monday July 31.

This year’s awards have gone “back to the future” with entries accepted from businesses in Monmouthshire, Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale, Usk and Caerphilly.

Winners will be revealed at a gala dinner and ceremony at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on October 6.

MBA founder and director Janet Harris said: “We have been inundated with entries for this year’s awards from businesses right across the expanded geographical area.

“But we don’t want to anyone to miss out – so we’re issuing one last reminder and rallying call to businesses to get their entries in.”

Entries for this year’s Monmouthshire Business Awards close at 5pm prompt on July 31. The presentation evening and gala dinner will be hosted by broadcaster Hywel James. Last year’s event attracted almost 400 guests.
