A CWMBRAN school’s art department is inviting members of the public to attend an end of year exhibition.

St. Alban’s RC High School will be showcasing the work produced by the school’s aspiring young artists.

The exhibition will take place in the sixth form café on Thursday, July 12 from 4pm.

For the second year running this school exhibition is a unique opportunity for parents, friends and the community of Pontypool to come together and celebrate the work of the students.

The show will display a range of work across the artistic spectrum, including portraiture and still-life.

Art teacher and exhibition curator Miss Carly Llewellyn said: “I am elated at this opportunity to showcase the work of our talented pupils for a second year running.

“I am very proud of the work these students have produced, and am excited to share it with the wider community of Torfaen.

“Save the Arts.”

There will be postcard-style prints of the featured work for sale with proceeds going to the art department, with refreshments provided by Friends of St. Alban’s PTA.
