CHILDREN from Penygarn Community Primary school are doing their bit to take part in the Torfaen Spring Clean.
The whole school is taking part in a week’s worth of events cleaning up the school grounds and the surrounding areas.
Donna Squirrell, ECO co-ordinator at Penygarn Community Primary School, said that taking part in the spring clean could only benefit the pupils and the community.
She said: “Getting involved in The Big Spring Clean has been a great way for our children, parents and school community to help improve our local area, build links with others in the community and learn about how we can affect our environment.
“The children are so keen to litter pick to help wildlife and make our paths, parks and gardens much better places to visit without litter.”
