SATURDAY marks the big switch-on of the Abergavenny Christmas lights, when superstar Elvis will press the button with the mayor, Cllr Raymond Hill, and Father Christmas himself.
Prior to the switch-on at 5pm, Elvis will be performing his Christmas songs, after arriving in a limousine with his Memphis Mafia.
Cross Street will be closed to traffic all day and there will be a Christmas market.
From midday Lee Munro and his Vogue FM roadshow will be playing music and building up the seasonal atmosphere. Making an appearance for the second year running will be young local duo Emano - Olivia Silcox and Michael Warren.
