Peter Fox, cabinet minister for lifelong learning and leisure and newly-appointed deputy leader of the council, was booed at hissed at last Thursday's full council meeting.
Protesters angry at the axeing of the free school bus service from Bulwark to Chepstow Comprehensive heckled him from the public gallery, after a march with banners outside County Hall.
More than sixty parents and children made the trip from Chepstow to Croesyceiliog to vent their feelings.
