TINTERN Abbey were crowned East Gwent Division One champions last Saturday after they beat Caldicot Town 3-1.
A Daniel Savage penalty, plus goals from Tom Marmont and Stuart Mackie gave Tintern a 3-0 half-time lead.
Mark Beresford grabbed a goal back in the second half for the visitors, but the boys from the Abbey held out to secure their first league title in four seasons.
Monmouth Town A and Underwood will now both be looking to settle for the runners-up spot, but Underwood have the advantage after they beat second-placed Monmouth Town A 1-0 thanks to a David Rees goal.
His side are now just two points behind Monmouth with an away trip to Portskewett to look forward to in their final league game this Saturday.
Castle A face Chepstow A in a Division Two title decider tonight, while Monmouth Town B can look to exact revenge for Saturday's cup final defeat and end their title winning season on a high at home to Mathern Wanderers on Saturday.
