GOYTRE, still not yet safe from the relegation dogfight at the bottom of Welsh League Division Three, travel to fellow-strugglers Blaenrhondda tonight, knowing three points would all but seal their hosts' fate.

Goytre are two points ahead of their Valleys rivals with two games in hand. And a win tonight would lift them seven clear of the drop zone with three still games to play.

On Saturday against title-chasers Newcastle, Mark Langford had an early opportunity to take the lead for Goytre, only to have his penalty saved by the Emlyn keeper. Steve Collett eventually gave Goytre the lead.

Langford was forced to withdraw through injury and Newcastle soon equalised through a headed-in corner. At the other end, Andy Walsh made it 2-1 to the hosts from a similar set piece, but just minutes later the visitors were level, before snatching the winner in spite of Goytre having most of the play.
