CurrenT Division One leaders Tranch Utd stays top following their 3-1 away win at Gilwern & District. Scorers for Tranch Utd were Richard Wakeling, Andrew Hayes and Des Turberville. Owen Edwards got the Gilwern & District goal. Tranch Utd still have two games in hand over second placed Clydach Wasps who had a comfortable 5-1 win at Blaenavon Blues. Goals for Clydach Wasps came from prolific goal scoring youngster Ryan Price who hit a hat-trick. Jeff Sterry (1) and Mark Hillman (1). Karl Hooper scored for the Blues.

Third placed Cwmffrwdoer had no game on Saturday but in mid-week they won 3-0 away to Blaenavon Blues. Ross Peake put the 'Doer 1-0 up in the 50th minute, Ross Mote made it 2-0 to Cwmffrwdoer with a goal in the 70th minute and finally Scott Horseman sealed Cwmffrwdoer's win. Goytre's mid-week game at home to Gilwern & District was again postponed as the Goytre's Welsh League side were using the Plough Road pitch.

In mid-week Govilon won 4-1 away to Race Utd. Scorers for Govilon were Jason Williams, Mark Haynes, Stuart Norman plus a Dean Morgan penalty. The goal for Race was scored by Jason Howells.

On Saturday Govilon entertained Usk Town at Bailey Park but it was Usk who won 3-1. The match ended on a sour note when both sides returned to the Bailey Park changing rooms it was immediately apparent that thieves had smashed a rear window and gained entry to the changing rooms. The thieves stole a large amount of players cash, mobile phones, wallets, cash cards, watches etc., the majority belonged to the home side, Govilon, and the match referee. Abergavenny police are investigating the incident.

On Monday evening Race Utd beat Lower New Inn 4-1 at home. Goal scorers for Race Utd were Paul Hayward (2), Jason Howells and Daynar Thorpe. The Lower New Inn goal was scored by Mitchell Powell.

In mid-week Pontypool Town lost at home 3-2 to Usk Town. Pontypool Town's goals came from a Stuart Price penalty and one Kevin Rogers goal. Usk Town's first half goals came from Danial Bevan. The Usk winner was scored by Jeremy Barton. On Saturday Pontypool Town drew 2-2 with Lower New Inn. Mitchell Powell gave the Lower a 1-0 half time lead with a goal scored in the 15th minute. In the second half Pontypool Town drew level thanks to an own goal by the Lower's Mike Ellis. Philip Poulton scored Pontypool's second goal and Phil Bullock got Lower's second goal.

On Saturday Mardy won 2-0 away at Race with goals by Steven Smith and an own goal.

In mid-week Panteg beat visitors Llanarth 2-1. Lee Morris scored both of the Panteg goals, and Ali Maidment got the Llanarth goal.

In Division Two second placed team Pandy bounced back to form in mid-week with a massive 9-1 home win over Clydach B. Goal scorers for Pandy were Steven Wedlock (2), Chris Morgan (2), Kirk Morgan (2), Neil Gunter, Michael Smith and Richard McCarthy. The Clydach B goal came from Andrew Bufton.

Third placed team Crickhowell had a 6-1 home win over visitors Usk Town B. The Crickhowell scorers were Chris Eacott 92), Craig Bennett (2), Mark Eacott (1) and Simon Wall (1).

Clydach Wasps B won their away match local derby against Gilwern B 6-4. Goals secured for Clydach B were Matthew Edward (2), Phil O'Dowda (2), Nathan Wall and Ryan Price. Gilwern B scorers were Steve Woods (2) and John Pinkney (2).

On Saturday Clydach Wasps B beat Aber Thursdays 1-0. The all important Clydach B goal was set up from a long kick out by 'Keeper Gareth Weed and was touched on into the Thursdays goal in the 30th minute by Nathan Wall who scored.

Thursdays won their mid-week local derby over Llanfoist 2-0 with both goals scored by Kieron James.

On Saturday New Inn failed to raise a side to play Llanfoist so Llanfoist gained a win and three points. Llanfoist finish their league season in ninth position.

The Sebastopol v Mardy B game ended 5-5. Goal scorers for Sebastopol were Alex Lewis (2), Stephen Verrinder, Craig Lister and Simon Heatman. The Mardy B goals came from a Matthew Lynch hat-trick plus two from Mark Davies. Mardy B had Mark Davies sent off.

In mid-week New Inn won their local derby with PILCS by a single goal scored by Barry Evans with the last kick of the game, 1-0.

On Saturday Fairfield Utd won 3-1 away to Llanarth B. The Fairfield Utd goal scorers were Steve Smith, Marcus Williams and Alex Harper. The Llanarth B goal came from Rob Westall.
