Race took to the field on a warm and sunny day again encouraged by an excellent midweek away draw versus Cup finalists Abertillery Bluebirds. Despite the fact that Christchurch have been relegated, they performed well in the opening half of this game, and surprisingly took the lead on 20 minutes, with Race gifting them the opportunity. Race had numerous chances to get level, and should have been ahead, with chances stacking up. The pace of the Race front line troubled Christchurch and put them under pressure for the remainder of the half. Paul Hayward thought he brought Race level just before half time, but was adjudged to have been offside.

The second half was all one way traffic, as the away side failed to create any worthwhile efforts, and Race drew level following good work by Daynar Thorpe whose cross was bundled over the line by Shaun Berry, with a little help via the keeper. Race deservedly went ahead with a sublime header by Robert Tovey, who passed an earlier fitness test to gain selection, as he leapt to meet a perfect cross from Shaun Berry.

With a quarter of the match remaining, Shaun Berry capped a good performance with an excellent solo effort, as he beat three players to coolly slot the ball past the keeper, to complete an excellent comeback and seal three points for Race.
