THE newest arrival for this Cwmbran family heralded the fifth generation, completing a succession of ladies.
After Aailyah Davies came into the world at on January 26, weighing 6lb 7oz, she was welcomed home by her family, including her great-great grandmother Ethel Rappell, 79.
Between eldest and youngest there is Susan Baker, 55, Beverley Baker, 36, and Tonia Baker, 20. All the women live a short distance apart in various areas of Cwmbran.
Susan Baker, of Richmond Road, Pontnewydd, has five grandsons and five granddaughters, with a sixth due in April born of her three children: Shane, 35, Beverley and John Paul, 20.
Susan herself has five sisters and four brothers but Aailyah, born at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, was her first great grandchild.
She said: "I was delighted when she was born, we are a big family but we see each other every day, there's not getting rid of them!"
