A couple from Chepstow are appealing for help in finding a wedding ring accidentally left at a Severn Bridge Toll booth.

Christian Cortacero, who lives with his wife Viki in Bulwark, was travelling back from a basketball match in Bristol on January 10 when he accidentally threw the ring in with loose cash.

He said: "Because I was playing in a basketball match I took my ring off and left it in the car. I put it in the section with loose coins for the toll and when I was coming back at around 10pm, I grabbed the cash and threw it in.

"I realised it was gone shortly after and phoned the bridge company but they could find nothing. They said it had probably come out into the ejected coin slot and someone may have found it."

The ring is a yellow gold male wedding band with an engraving inside that reads 'Viki 10 - VI - 2006' the date the couple were married.

Mr Cortacero said: "If anyone has it I would beg them to give it back. It is not about the cost value of the ring it is what it means to us. I mean, it is my wedding ring. I just hope we get it back."
