ONE of Monmouthshire’s most popular agricultural shows will return to Chepstow Racecourse this weekend for a celebration of rural trades, talents and tastes.

Thousands of people attend the Chepstow Show every year, and this year is set to be no different with a packed schedule of events planned from 9am on Saturday, August 12.

This year’s star attraction will be motorcycle stunt team, Stunt Mania, with the show also featuring a number of displays of vintage steam vehicles and a range of livestock as part of the competitions taking place.

Alongside the demonstrations, visitors can also enjoy a number of trading stands and other activities.

A free bus service will run from 9.30am until 5.30pm on an hourly basis.

The route will go from the racecourse down the A466, into Bulwark via the Tesco Express roundabout, stopping at Thornwell Road Primary School, Bulwark Social Club and Chepstow Bus Station.

Admission costs £10 for adults, £4 for children ages five to 16 and under-fives go free.

Family tickets (two adults and three children) cost £25. Cash will only be accepted on the day.

Free parking will also be provided, with signage and stewards on hand to direct visitors.
