CASTELL Roc has announced Leo Sayer as the first act of a star-studded line-up for next year’s festival.

The British music legend, supported by Mari Wilson and the New Wilsations, will fly over from Australia to play a show at Chepstow Castle during the 12-day event next August and September.

It was also announced that Michael Jackson and Prince tribute group, Return Of The King meets Prince Experience, will also perform. Organisers are planning to reveal two new acts a week over the next six weeks.

Carol Mutlow, one of the festival’s organisers, believes it has gone from “strength to strength” in recent years and has attracted visitors from across the UK and abroad.

“It’s fantastic hearing the feedback, it makes all the hard work worthwhile,” she said.

“When you hear people say that they have seen an artist many times before but the Chepstow show was ‘the best by far’ is very humbling for all the team behind the festival.”

Mrs Mutlow added that the Castell Roc team began organising the 2018 event as soon as the doors closed on this year’s festival.
