THE owner of a Cwmbran hair salon and her team delivered a cheque of more than £7,000 to the Noah'Ark Appeal at the Children's Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, following a charity and fun day.

Shelley Fitzgerald, who runs Inigma Hair Designs on Wesley Street, Cwmbran, said there had been a fantastic response to the event, which also resulted in hair from family members, friends and clients being cut and collected to help the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs for children who have lost theirs due to cancer treatment.

The target was £5,000, but Ms Fitzgerald said the generosity of the event's supporters had ensured that was easily beaten.
