A RISING star from Torfaen is celebrating after beating over 200 other hopefuls to work with top music producers in London.
Louise Hall, 21, from Abersychan, Pontypool, has spoken of her excitement after signing a record deal with a “massive recording company in London”.
Although the young musician, who lives in Newport, can’t currently reveal the record company name because of her contract’s terms, the firm has worked with a host of the music industry’s top names.
“Over 200 people auditioned by invite only for the contract and a few days later they called me to say they wanted to sign me and I was absolutely ecstatic,” she said.
“This could finally be my big break. They have worked with the likes of David Bowie, The Beatles, Ringo Starr, Peter Andre and more recently Scepta.
“The songwriter I had been assigned has worked with Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Lady Gaga so as you can imagine it’s all very exciting.”
Her record deal includes working with industry producers and writers to record an EP, travelling back and forth to London to record.
The result will see the 21-year-old release two original songs on iTunes and Apple Music, alongside photo shoots, music videos and promotion.
