A BUZZARD caught in a TV aerial had to be plucked from a Torfaen roof by firefighters yesterday.

The bird was trapped on the roof of a house on Newport Road, Pontypool.

Firefighters spent around 25 minutes releasing the bird after 6.40pm before handing it over to the RSPCA.

This is wrong, it was actually a Harris hawk, handed to RSPCA then handed back over to city wildlife. Being returned back to its owners later on today :)
