CALDICOT Town Ladies lost 4-0 at current champions Swansea City Ladies, but manager Luke Harris was not downhearted, writes Bob Cypher.
“It was a huge test for us as City have just come back from Champions League games,” he said later.
“In the first half we kept our shape and worked very hard off the ball to contain City’s attacks and held it to 0-0 at the break.
“They came out of the blocks in the second half and carried on pressing us, scoring four times but, despite that, the team put in a great performance and showed a lot of character.
“We have two weeks off now so we will be working hard in training and I’m hopeful that we can start to pick up points as we now have our full squad back for our next game, at home to Cardiff Met on September 24th.”
