Sudbrook 2nds (268-8) beat Barry Athletic 2nds (145 all out) by two wickets
DOUBLE-figure scores by the first four batsmen gave Sudbrook Seconds a great start at Mill Lane on Saturday, writes Bob Cypher.
Opener Greg Shaw (89), Richard Lund (74), Anthony Cole (36) and Neil Pearson (26) provided the basis for their 268 total.
In reply, Barry’s openers were split early on when Rob Simmonds took the first of his three wickets, finishing on 3-29 with two maidens in his nine overs.
His brother Ian (1-16 and three maidens) then joined the party before skipper Paul Adams (4-34 with two maidens and Adam Nelson (1-4 in just two deliveries) mopped up the tail.
