CROSS Keys will be eager to arrest a run of four games without a win tomorrow when Gwent rivals Bedwas visit Pandy Park in the Principality Premiership (kick-off 2.30pm).

Keys returned from Eugene Cross Park last Saturday with nothing to show for their efforts after a hard-fought 22-7 defeat to unbeaten leaders Ebbw Vale.

Morgan Stoddart’s men battled hard against the Steelmen but couldn’t prevent a fourth reverse in succession following previous losses to Bargoed, Swansea and Cardiff.

They will look to end their disappointing run of form this weekend as Stefan Sankala’s Bedwas make the short trip to face a side they actually thrashed 57-34 at Bridge Field back in April.

Bedwas haven’t made a great start to the new campaign and only boast one win in seven, a derby victory over Bargoed a few weeks ago.

Looking at previous meetings between the clubs in the recent past, it’s evident that home advantage counts.

Prior to that 50-point hammering earlier this year, Bedwas ran out 32-24 winners at Bridge Field in November 2017.

Two months before that, Keys won 25-22 at Pandy Park and 31-24 there in January 2017.

Injuries haven’t been Keys’ best friend this term and it will be interesting to see who is available for the clash tomorrow afternoon.

Elsewhere in the Premiership tomorrow, Bargoed, just below Keys in 12th place, host third-placed Aberavon.

Cardiff entertain Llanelli at the Arms Park, RGC 1404, smarting from their home loss to Newport, go to Carmarthen Quins and Merthyr tackle Swansea at the Wern.

Meanwhile, in the Championship, Pontypool and Newbridge are both on the road.

Unbeaten leaders Pooler, whose game against Bedlinog last Saturday was postponed, go to Newcastle Emlyn and Newbridge visit Ystrad Rhondda.
