CWMFFRWDOER Sports Club crushed Cwmbran Town FC with a 5-0 away victory last week.

The Doer opened their account as early as the third minute when centre half Johnny Hanratty headed home at the back post from a corner kick on Saturday March 6.

Cwmffrwdoer were playing in the third round of the County Motors Cup.

The Doer should have doubled their score five minutes later but the striker fired straight at the Crows’ keeper.

Cwmbran came close ten minutes later when a header struck the Doer crossbar.

This only seemed to spur the Doer on and they quickly made it 2-0 with a goal from Dwain Hunt, and a third goal came courtesy of midfielder Stewart Lewis with a superb strike on 30 minutes.

The second half saw the Crows step up their game and for a short time made things difficult for the Doer.

On 55 minutes the visitors put the game beyond doubt when good work from Hunt resulted in him finding fellow striker Brad Baker who calmly finished with a well placed shot giving the Doer a 4-0 lead.

The game was effectively over for the Crows and they did well to keep the marauding Doer strike force at bay.

On 70 minutes striker Dwain Hunt scored his second and the Doers’ fith with a well taken strike from an acute angle.

At the final whistle the Doer ran out deserved winners, but full credit to Cwmbran Town who never stopped running all game.
